Anyway, I'm currently in Paris studying french language & culture at the Sorbonne. It rox like x10000. Except when I have to take the RER at 6:30 and am squished in with all the other people haha. Or when I really want to just buy some food and everything is far away or closed (I live in the southern end of Paris proper, and the place I'm staying at has literally nothing within close walking distance) but it really isn't that big of a hassle to hop on the tramway and go a few stops down. I love it; it's so much more fun than VT, where there is nothing to do most of the time unless you have plans for something haha. I miss all you guys at home, though! :]
I haven't been doing any jewelry since I came, of course (I arrived mid-Sept and leave mid-Jan) but since the last time I updated I have made a ton of clay pendants. I began taking pictures of them earlier this summer and although I put them on photobucket I've been too lazy to put them on here and too lazy to finish taking pictures.....
but good news is I have a new camera (nothing too fancy, sony cybershot. But I like it :] so naturally since I'm in France I have a ton of photos to put up
I just spent the weekend in Normandie & Bretagne so I'll probably put those photos up first, then gradually eventually hopefully work my way back from there, hahaha. I have pictures from places in Paris and Roussillon, which is in the south of France--we spent a weekend there too a few weeks back. In another few weeks is a trip to Chartres! So that should be fun.
I'm really siked on the new season of Big Bang Theory. It's awesome and hilarious. The recent one with Wil Wheaton was amazing; the end scene is the best. WHEATONNNNNN!!!! haha. I recently started watching The Guild, which is also awesome. I am still disappointed that there is no real season this year for Doctor Who or IT Crowd, but they recommence next year
She was pretty famous back then but no one knows her now :[ I couldn't even find her books in VT, and a friend in Cali couldn't either; turns out I had to come to Paris to find them! Haha. In english, too. Anyway, she's like a midpoint between Jane Austen and Charles Dickens; and that's not doing her justice. It's got the reality of life in industrial and country towns during the 19th and 20th centuries, but there is still hope and friendship, happiness and love; the romance between Margaret & John could be equated to Elizabeth & Darcy in many ways. The miniseries emphasizes it even more than the book. If you are too lazy to read them, at least watch the miniseries; if you like Jane Austen at all you'll probably like it too!
